Dennis Dush, 90, of Columbus, died Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Columbus Community Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, July 8, with a 7 p.m. vigil service, all at the church. Visitation will continue from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

Dennis Dush was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Duncan, to John and Victoria (Starostka) Dush. He was raised and received his education in Duncan before entering the U.S. Army. Dennis was stationed in Germany. He married Monica Tarnick on June 22, 1963, at Krakow. Dennis worked as a heavy equipment operator for Behlen's and Gerhold's. He retired in 1996. Dennis was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Dennis was a 25 year cancer survivor. He enjoyed farming with his son and grandchildren.

He is survived by wife, Monica Dush of Columbus; son, Dan (Gina) Dush of Columbus; five grandchildren: Ethan, Emma, Carlie, Carter, and Carson; brother, Leonard (Esther) Dush of St. Libory; sister, Florence Schmidt of Columbus; sister, Mary Ann (Joe) Steiner of Fremont; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dush of Duncan; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by son, David Dush; parents, John and Victoria; sister, Kathryn (Steve) Augustine; brother, Andrew (Dorothy) Dush; brother Joe (Mary) Dush; brother, Charles Dush Sr.; sister, Victoria (John Vaughn and Bill Ebner) Ebner; brother, Walter (Esther) Dush; sister, Helen (Alex) Zelasney; brother, John (Terri) Dush; brother, Lawrence (Nellie) Dush; sister, Agnes “Peg” (George) Eller; sister, Mary Dush (infancy); brother-in-law, Richard Schmidt.
