Frank Brave Heart, 26, of Columbus, died Monday, May 27, 2019, as a result of an auto accident west of Columbus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gerald Gonderinger celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 31, with a 7 p.m. vigil service, all at Gass Haney Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Memorials are to be directed to the family.
Frank was born on Nov. 12, 1992, in Columbus. Frank was a spirited, well-spoken and loving young man. He was adored by many and is missed dearly. He helped raise his nieces and nephews from a young age, was passionate about cooking, attended SCC for culinary arts, worked as a chef, and was always there for his friends and family. He will be remembered as a proud son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend to all.
Frank is survived by his grandfathers, Bernard Zelasney and Christopher Brave Heart Sr.; his mother, Debra Braveheart; brothers, Amos Zelasney and Christopher and Michael Brave Heart; sisters, Katrina Brave Heart and Cheryl Posadas; and many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Brave Heart Jr.; grandfather, Mike Twiss; and grandmothers, Angela Zelasney and Violet Brave Heart; and close friend, Joseph Buresh.
