Gary C. Seidel

Gary C. Seidel, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 in Lewisville, Texas, after a valiant fight against cancer. Gary was born on Feb. 12, 1945 in Odessa, Texas to Tom and Wilma (Bordner) Seidel while his father was in the Air Corps. He attended school in Columbus, graduating in 1963 and from the University of Nebraska in 1968 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In December of 1969, Gary married Marlene Dennis in Lincoln. He retired from Tokyo Electron and loved traveling the world with his wife, working with his son Thomas, playing with grandson Evan, and had a passion for woodworking. He belonged to the Dallas Opera and volunteered his time at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field in Dallas building replicas of airplanes. Gary is survived by his wife, Marlene of Lewisville, TX; son, Thomas (Meredydd) Seidel of Houston, TX; grandson Evan; brother Rod (Mary) Seidel of Columbus, NE; sisters, Kay (Jack) Steiner of Columbus, NE; Pat Cuda of Schuyler, NE; Brother-in law Don Reid of Round Rock TX; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Linda; sister Marilynn Reid; and brother-in-law Ken Cuda. A Celebration of Life will take place April 19th at the Frontiers of Flight Museum.
