James Klawitter, 77, of Randolph, formerly of Osmond, died Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Colonial Manor in Randolph.
A memorial visitation for James will be from 5- 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk. Military Honors will be provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1644, American Legion Post 16, Army National Guard Honor Guard, and American Legion Riders.
James Leroy Klawitter, son of Harold and Elizabeth (Schroeder) Klawitter, was born Nov. 21, 1941, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Norfolk. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School. James served in the United States Army as a Specialist E4, and received the Good Conduct Medal. On Sept. 5, 1970, James married Linda Ann McCormack at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. They had two children, Tracy Ann and Jamie Lynn.
James worked in sales and lived in several places throughout his lifetime, including, Osmond, Verdigre, Rising City, Columbus and Norfolk. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
James is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Corey) Roberts and Jamie (Steve) Sporleder; four grandchildren, Jordan and Taylor Roberts and Austin and Alexis Sporleder; brothers, Larry (Janel) Klawitter of Madison, and Harry (Deb) Klawitter of Firestone, Colorado; and sister-in-law, Peg Klawitter of Stanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; brothers, Bill and Paul; sister, Rose; sister-in-law, Donna; and brothers-in-law, Gary McCormack and Vernon McCormack.
