JoAnn Kozak of Columbus died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial is being held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is being held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, all at the church. A 7 p.m. vigil is also being held at the church. A 4:30 p.m. rosary is being held Monday at the Church. Burial is being held at All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.

JoAnn M. Kozak was born Dec. 19, 1948 in Columbus, Nebraska to Louis and Frances (Volnek) Czuba. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1967. JoAnn married Paul T. Kozak on May 31, 1969 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. The couple lived in Duncan for 8 years before moving to Columbus in 1977. JoAnn provided day care at her home and also managed Cuzzin's Corner and Lake Stop Convenience Stores. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially during the holidays, spending time with her grandchildren and playing "Bunco" with her friends at the lake. She was a very loving and giving person. JoAnn was a member of St. Anthony Church and the Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, Paul T. Kozak of Columbus, son Chad (Stephanie) Kozak of Lincoln, son Don (Angie) Kozak of Gretna, son Brian (Taryn) Kozak of Columbus, grandchildren Alyssa Kozak of Gretna and Jamison Kozak of Columbus, three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild, sister Darlene Elston of Bellevue, brother Phillip (Liz) Czuba of Columbus, sister Phyllis (Keith) Barg of Norfolk, sister Mary (Larry) Cook of Fremont, sister Dee (Lynn) Artz of Kearney and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Frances Czuba, son Craig Kozak, daughter-in-law Johna Kozak and brother-in-law Larry Elston
