Kenneth R. Lisko, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Meridian Gardens.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 8, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Miksch officiating. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post 84 American Legion Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Ken Lisko was born April 16, 1949 in Omaha, to Frank and Clara (Mueller) Lisko. They resided in Boys Town until returning to Osceola where Ken graduated from high school in 1967. After graduation, Ken joined the U.S. Navy. He served from 1968-1976, making two deployments to Vietnam. During this time in February of 1971, Ken married Narka Graham in Silver Creek. To this union three children were born, Jamie, Lori and Cory.
After his time in the service, Ken started at the U.S. Post Office in Columbus in 1977. In 1986, he married Cindy Henninger. Ken retired in 2005. Ken was an avid Nebraska fan of all sports. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spring asparagus and mushroom hunting. He is a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, V.F.W., D.A.V. and NARFE.
He is survived by son, Jamie (Terri) Lisko, child, Hunter of Lincoln; daughter: Lori (Aaron) Brown, children: Ashlynn, Taylor and Austin of Phillips; son, Cory (Ann) Lisko, children: Ashton, and Trevor of Columbus; mother, Clara Lisko of Osceola; sister, Sandra Zipse of Lakewood, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by father, Frank Lisko; brother-in-law, Larry Zipse; and uncle, Marcel Mueller.
