LaDonna was born to Albert and Gladys (Gifford) Morgan on Dec. 15, 1944, in her grandmothers' home in Kearney County. She graduated from Campbell High in 1963, then attended and graduated from Hastings Beauty Academy in 1964. It was at this time she met the love of her life and joined in marriage to C. Dean Simonton on March 21, 1964. Together they lived in Lincoln and worked at Goodyear, but when ready to begin their family, they called the country north of Campbell their home. They have lived 50 years at this residence and spent a lifetime building memories. While on the farm not only did she raise five children and assist on the farm, but she also had her own LaDonna's Farmette Salon, partnered with Dean with the aerial applicating business starting in 1981, and even bought her husband a birthday present where he could play all the snooker he desired in 2000 (the year she purchased The Campbell Tavern).
