Myrta Taylor, 98, of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and formerly of Columbus, passed away on April 27, 2019.
Myrta was born on June 17, 1920, in Schoftland, Switzerland. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Lina Gloor.
Myrta emigrated from Switzerland with her parents in 1924. They lived in Redfield, South Dakota, before moving to Columbus in 1927, where she worked with her parents at the Gloor Bakery. She met and married Robert Taylor and assisted him with his business, Jack & Jill Supermarkets. In 1968 she and family moved to Aspen, Colorado, where they were owners/operators of the Innsbruck Sportsmotel. They eventually settled in Glenwood Springs in 1985.
She leaves behind her daughter, Roberta; son, Ronald and wife Mary, sons: Rhett, Ricky and Roland; sister, Fani Trofholz; grandson, Michael and wife Michele; great-grandson, Michael; and many nieces and nephews.
Myrta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brother, Reinhart Gloor; and sister, Alvena Weber.
