Victoria “Vicki” Kershaw of Silver Creek, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 10, at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek, and will continue from 9-10 a.m. on Friday morning, also at the church. Interment will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery.
Victoria “Vicki” Kershaw was born July 9, 1936, in Burwell, to John and Margaret (Hansen) Banks. She grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island High School before going on to Kearney State Teachers College. Vicki moved to Silver Creek where she taught grade school. On Dec. 20, 1958, Vicki was united in marriage to Eugene Kershaw at the Nazarene Church in Grand Island. Vicki was a housewife, raising her four children.

Vicki loved playing the piano and drawing. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek where she taught Sunday school and MYF. Vicki was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary.
Vicki is survived by husband, Eugene Kershaw of Silver Creek; son, James (Cheryl) Kershaw of Silver Creek; son, John (Joyce) Kershaw of Culbertson; son, Scott Kershaw of Columbus; daughter, Kimmarie (Daniel) Woods of Houston; brother, John (Connie) Banks of Omaha; sister, Polly Amstutz of Kearney; sister, Barbara (Jim) Holtgrewe of Marquette; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, John and Margaret Banks; sister, Mary Winholtz.
