Vivian 'Vi' Stoupa
May 22, 1926 -- Feb. 20, 2019
Vivian Stoupa, 92, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Feb. 20, 2019, at Brighton Gardens of Omaha.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, at the Fremont Alliance Church, 1615 N. Lincoln Ave. in Fremont. Memorials may be payable to Camp Rivercrest at Christ Community Church, 404 S 108th Ave., Omaha.
Although religion played an important role throughout Vi's life, she developed a deep relationship with Jesus in her 50's that defined her remaining years. She was an active member and volunteer at the Fremont Alliance Church for 33 years, and volunteered for many years at Fremont's Medical Center and YMCA. Vi donated her body to science in order to aid young medical students.
Vi is survived by sons, Martin Hocevar and Dale Hocevar; daughter-in-law, Michiko Hocevar; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and one sister.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Joseph Hocevar (1976) and Edward Stoupa (2002); sons, Michael, Joseph “JJ” and Dewey; granddaughter, Kimberly; six brothers and six sisters.
