For NU sophomore defensive back JoJo Domann his college decision came down to Nebraska or Colorado.

The Colorado Springs native was a high school star in his home state, ending his career as the top-ranked recruit in Colorado.

Buffaloes coach Mike MacIntyre visited Domann at his home, doing his best to get the prospect to continue his career in Boulder.

But for Domann, the decision to head east to Lincoln was an easy one.

"I got a little backlash coming to Nebraska, coming to Lincoln from Colorado. But that stuff doesn’t really get to me. I came here to play football and play big-time football and win championships, and that’s why I came here," Domann said Tuesday. "Coach Mac sold everything he possibly could to me, which, any coach is going to do to get a recruit to his school. But like I said, I wanted to play big-time football at a big-time university and see if I could prove myself on the big stage, so that’s why I’m here in Lincoln."

Despite developing a relationship with MacIntyre and getting to know the coach's family, the lure of playing at Nebraska was more than enough to pull him east.

"Coach Mac sold everything he possibly could to me, which, any coach is going to do to get a recruit to his school," Domann said. "But like I said, I wanted to play big-time football at a big-time university and see if I could prove myself on the big stage, so that’s why I’m here in Lincoln."
