Some of the finest local basketball talent will be on display tonight on the hardwood of Raider Field House as a pair of high-school all-star games will feature recently-graduated seniors on the boys and girls side of the court.

The girls’ game will begin at 6 p.m. and feature many familiar faces to Platte County hoops fans.

The players will be divided into the Green and Silver teams, which will have high-school teammates facing one another in the unique format.

The Green squad will include Scotus’ Kendra Wiese, Marika Spencer and Grace Wickham, David City Aquinas’ Veronica Kobza, David City’s Chaquoya Givens and Olivia Couch and Lakeview’s Ali Janssen.

Coaching the Green team will be David City head coach Nathan Wall and assistants Tyler Brester and Emily Maresh.

Borchers will be playing for Central next season, along with Loganview’s Morgan Morgan, who is also on the Silver squad.

On the boys’ side, there is also a large contingent of local players, divided up between Black and Silver rosters.

Columbus’ Blake Peterson will be joined by Discoverers teammates Michael Koch and Andy Pike.
