Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family volleyball hosted a home quadrangular on Saturday, hosting Twin River, Howells-Dodge and Spalding Academy.

The Bulldogs swept all three of their opponents while Twin River went 1-2 with a win over Spalding Academy. 

HLHF improves to 16-7 on the season and will play in the East Husker Conference Tourney starting on Thursday at Pender High School.

Twin River falls to 7-16 and will host Stanton (13-11) on Tuesday before competing in the East Husker Conference Tourney. 

Saturday

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family def. Howells-Dodge, 25-15, 25-14:   Paige Beller and Allie Schneider had six kills each to lead the Bulldogs. 

Brittney Veik served a team-high four aces and finished with eight serve receptions, Schneider blocked five spikes and led with 11 assists and Brooklynn Magsamen had nine digs.  

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family def. Spalding Academy, 25-12, 25-7:  Once again, Schneider and Beller had six kills each to lead HLHF. 

Kenna Roelle served three aces, Madison Swerczek blocked two shots, Veik led with two digs, Schneider recorded 14 assists and Magsamen had six serve receptions. 

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family def. Twin River, 25-16, 25-16: Beller had eight kills to help the Bulldogs finish off the Titans.

Schneider served five aces while also tallying five blocks and 11 assists. Schneider and Veik each had seven digs to lead HLHF and Veik had 12 serve receptions. 

Marissa Morris led the Titans with five kills, Eva Fehringer had six assists, Brianna Konwinski served one ace, Racheal Strain, Chole Cave and Sydnei Kemper all had a team-high two serve receptions and Morris finished with eight digs. 

Twin River def. Spalding Academy, 25-14, 25-15:  Twin River defeated Spalding Academy after Morris recorded seven kills. 

Fehringer led with 10 assists and five aces and Cave tallied 10 digs.  

Howells-Dodge def. Twin River, 27-25, 25-18:  Morris had 15 kills against Howells-Dodge but Twin River fells just short. 

Fehringer finished with 15 assists, Cave served an ace, Cave and Ranina Swanson had two serve receptions, Fehringer and Morris led with seven digs each and Kemper blocked three kills. 

Friday

St. Edward def. Santee, 25-23, 25-18, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13:  St. Edward won its third game of the year on Friday to improve to 3-16. 

No stats were available for the game. 

St. Edward hosts Heartland Lutheran (9-13) on Tuesday.
