Columbus outscored Lexington 20-15 in the fourth but couldn't come any closer.
"Just the game itself was a great high school game as a fan," head coach Jimmy Motz said. "It's not fun to be on the losing side, obviously. We had our opportunity there late. We were down 11 in the fourth quarter, came back took the lead and just had a couple possessions there late where we just didn't capitalize on some things.
"We had two great looks at the end of the game. (Blake Edzards) missed a 3. (Garrett) Esch got a rebound and kicked it out to (Porter Discoe) for a great look on the wing and the ball went in and out."
