City schools Columbus High, Lakeview and Scotus Central Catholic will be bringing one of the largest contingents of Columbus wrestlers to next week's state meet in Omaha after successful district tournaments on Saturday.
Columbus, competing at home, qualified 13 of 14 wrestlers with seven district champions and two runners-up. Lakeview is sending eight with one champ and five silver medalists while Scotus qualified a group of six with all third and fourth-place finishers.
For Lakeview, it's a school record number. Columbus passes its total from last year by one. Scotus' previous best was eight.
