YORK — David City won four individual titles Saturday at the York Invite and brought home the runner-up team trophy.
The Scouts, a Class C school, finished with 163 points. Grand Island Northwest, from Class B, won the team title with 195 points.
Schuyler finished third with 146 points.
Brothers Seth and Noah Styskal captured two of the individual titles for David City at 113 and 126 pounds, respectively.
Seth Styskal went 5-0 in the tournament, winning his first three matches by fall before recording 9-5 victories over Northwest’s Collin Quandt and Lincoln Southeast’s Arman Erickson.
Noah Styskal was 4-0, dominating the competition. He had two victories by pin and two by technical fall on his way to the title.
Jacson Valentine and Justin White, at 132 pounds and 138 pounds, respectively, also went undefeated to win individual titles for the Scouts.
Valentine won three matches by fall, but needed a sudden-victory decision over Fairbury’s Austin Barnts in the semifinals. Valentine pinned Syracuse’s Zachary Beers in the championship match in under a minute.
White won all five of his matches by pin. All five wins came in the first round and his longest match came in the second round against Omaha Concordia’s Max Revers. That match lasted 1 minute, 21 seconds.
At 220 pounds, David City's Matt Eilers won his first three matches by pin to make the championship match, but Schuyler’s Jesus Maganda scored a 6-3 decision to win the title.
Maganda was Schuyler’s only individual champion at the event.
Kenneth Castro (120), Caden Yrkoski (152) and Michael Hernandez (170) lost in the championship matches while Ernesto Chacon (113) and Caleb Novak (182) earned bronze medals.
