At least one spring sports program will finally get its season underway on Monday, hopefully.
Columbus High girls soccer, scheduled to play Monday at Wilderness Park against Grand Island, will instead play on campus at the turf field northeast of the school
Girls varsity is set for 4 p.m. with junior varsity to follow, as much as possible without lights available for the field.
However, if there are no passable roads for Grand Island to travel to Columbus, the game will be rescheduled.
The Columbus girls and boys were set to play in the Scotus Invitational this weekend before the event was cancelled. Baseball versus Seward on Friday and at Norfolk on Thursday were postponed.
Lakeview was also a part of the Scotus Invite and had an indoor track meet scheduled for Thursday at Concordia. The Vikings did not travel to Seward.
Additionally, Columbus baseball games at Lincoln Southwest on Monday have been postponed. No word yet on home baseball and soccer games set for Tuesday.
Lakeview boys and girls soccer teams are on the schedule to face off Tuesday at Wilderness Park at 5 p.m., and the Scouts track team is set to travel to Lincoln for a meet at Nebraska Wesleyan.
