Saturday - No. 5 (D-2) Humphrey St. Francis 70, Spalding Academy 17: St. Francis only allowed three players from Spalding Academy to score. That defensive effort plus 25 first-quarter points had the Flyers out of the gates quickly.

Humphrey St. Francis is now 16-4 on the season and will host Aquinas tonight.

Saturday - Howells-Dodge 53, No. 4 (D-1) Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 48: The game was tied after the first quarter, but the Jaguars outscored the Bulldogs 14-12 in the second and 14-9 in the third to clinch the victory. Howells-Dodge is just outside the Lincoln Journal Star's ratings for C-2.

H/LHF is now 15-5 on the season and hosts Oakland-Craig tonight.

Saturday - Cross County 68, High Plains Community 29: Cross County had 13 different players find the scoring column led by junior Cael Lundstrom who had a team-high 19.

High Plains' junior Keaton Van Housen scored 23 but it wasn't enough Saturday night. Cross County improves to 13-8 and hosts East Butler tonight. High Plains falls to 3-13 and hosts Bruning-Davenport/Shickley.

Friday - No. 1 (C-2) BRLD 62, No. 4 (D-1) Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 44: Freshman Jacob Sjuts, junior Tyler Sjuts and senior Turner Beller all scored in double figures, but the top-rated team in C-2 was too much to handle. 

Friday - Twin River 81, Madison 63: Twin River found offense early and often. Weston Graham scored 10, Joseph Zwiener had 13 and Nolan Ramaekers and Brandon Miller both recorded 16.

Friday - Meridian 66, Osceola 65 (2OT): Osceola loses an overtime heartbreaker at home after two extra periods.

Friday - East Butler 56, High Plains Community 41: High Plains Keaton Van Housen and East Butler junior Jaden Rhynalds battled for 32 minutes but the Tigers edged the Storm.

Friday - Boone Central/Newman Grove 58, Battle Creek 55: The Cardinals only allowed two players from Battle Creek to score 10 or more points.

Friday - Cedar Bluffs 61, St. Edward 33: Trevor Rasmussen scored 25 points, but only two other players found the bottom of the net.

Girls

Saturday - No. 1 (D-2) Humphrey St. Francis 71, Spalding Academy 28: Allison Weidner scored 23 points while teammates Lauren Pfeifer and Kaylee Stricklin both mounted double-digit scoring efforts.

Saturday - No. 7 (C-2) Clarkson/Leigh 52, No. 3 (D-1) Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 47: The Bulldogs led 42-35 entering the fourth but a Patriot comeback gave Clarkson/Leigh the victory in the third-place game of the East Husker Conference Tournament.

Saturday - Cross County 39, High Plains Community 26: The score was tied 9-9 after the first quarter but sophomores Erica Stratman and Cortlyn Schaefer led Cross County to victory.

Saturday - Norfolk Catholic 33, Boone Central/Newman Grove 25: The Cardinals led 10-6 after the first quarter but were outscored 12-0 in the second.

Friday - Meridian 57, Osceola 34: The Bulldogs couldn't keep pace with the Mustangs, trailing 34-11 at halftime.

Friday - East Butler 56, High Plains Community 28: Junior Justis Majerus scored 11 points, but a 20-2 fourth quarter for East Butler ended any comeback hopes.

Friday - Cedar Bluffs 48, St. Edward 43: Freshman Alyssa Reardon and sophomore Emma Olson's double-digit scoring efforts weren't enough to get the victory.
