Lakeview's softball season came to an end on Monday when the Lady Vikes dropped both games at the sub-district tournament in York.
Lakview lost to York 17-3 in the first round then to Grand Island Central Catholic 13-1 in an elimination game.
The losses dropped Lakeview's record to 3-24 to end the season.
York won the tournament clinching its spot in the district championship.
Class B teams are organized into 10 double elimination sub-district tournaments. Those 10 winners plus six others based on wild card points make up the eight district championship games. Lakeview sat last in Class B after the two losses and thus had no second life available for the district round.
York 17, Lakeview 3: York needed only two innings to score 17 runs, crossing the plate 10 times in the first and seven times in the second.
Lakeview plated its three in the top of the third on three singles a double and an error.
York out hit Lakeview 12-7 and committed only one error compared to three for the Lady Vikes.
Jerica Mohlman led Lakeview in hits with two, and Haley Frenzen finished with a team high two RBIs.
In the top of the first, Mohlman and Callie Booth reached on one-out singles before a fielder's choice then a strike out left two stranded.

In the bottom half, the Lady Vikes walked the leadoff batter, gave up a single, hit the next batter, walked in a run, let a run score on a wild pitch, gave up an RBI single, committed an error that scored a run, walked yet another batter, let another wild pitch score a runner and hit a batter loading the bases before a fly out finally set one down. York already led 5-0 at that point.
Three more singles and a double led to five more Duke runs.
Lakeview managed a lone single in the second then gave up six hits, including a home run, two errors and a walk for seven York runs.
The Lady Vikes finally found some offense in the third when Mohlman started a rally with a one-out single. She was eliminated on a fielder's choice, Abbie Scholl singled with two down, Frenzen scored two on a double then Stromberg reached on an error and Frenzen came in on the mistake.
GICC 13, Lakeview 1: GICC took a 8-0 lead in the top of the third and added three more runs in the second to take a 11-0 lead.
Lakeview closed the gap to 11-1 in the bottom of the third before GICC stretched the lead to 13-1 in the top of the fourth.
Lakeview was outhit 7-5. Frenzen, Mohlman, Scholl, Nathaly Loza and Emily Stevenson each connected with singles while Frenzen scored a run.
Frenzen singled with one out in the third, stole second and third and came in on a ground out by Mohlman.
