THREE-POINTERS

1. Just like last season, Wisconsin is at the bottom of the Big Ten standings. But Wisconsin did beat Nebraska 82-56 last season, and has four returning starters. This is the only time Nebraska and Wisconsin will play during the regular season.

2. Nebraska coach Amy Williams says the women's basketball program won't be celebrating individual accomplishments too much, but they are going to have some cake to celebrate what freshman center Kate Cain has already done. Last week Cain set the Nebraska season record for blocks in a season with 79, which ranks fourth in the nation this season.

3. With no midweek game, the Husker coaches hit the road recruiting. The Huskers appear to have already done well in recruiting, even after a bad season last year. This year's big turnaround should help even more. "Success is something that opens doors, there is no question about that," Williams said. "We've noticed that, but I think the biggest piece with recruiting is just relationship building, and we've been hard at work with that since we've been here, and we expect that to start paying off."
