Early in its life, the Thorpe Opera House is shown next to the old Perkins Hotel to its left. The ground floor housed the City Bakery and Restaurant and a Furniture and Undertaking business. The Thorpe Inc. hopes to restore the building to its former glory while providing better access and facilities for visitors.
