The words "Bellwood Rescue" are printed across the Bellwood Rural Fire District No. 5's newest ambulance. The truck was purchased back in January and has already seen some action, such as back in March for the Bellwood Lakes area flood rescues.
The Demers Stock Unit Type 1 Ambulance on a Ford F450 4x4 chassis is a larger truck with more safety features such as harness for EMTs in the back to wear, improved suspension and an updated locking mechanism for cots.
