The Butler, Colfax and Platte County 4-H Communication Event was held Sunday, April 12, at Central Community College in Columbus.
The Butler, Colfax and Platte County 4-H Communication Event was held Sunday, April 12, at Central Community College in Columbus. Eleven youth participated in the event, demonstrating their skills in public speaking, public service announcements, and impromptu speaking.

This Clover Kid from Butler County demonstrated how to plant a flower at Butler, Colfax and Platte County 4-H Communication Event.
In the Clover Kid division, Etta Meusch of Butler County and Nora Novak of Colfax County participated in Show and Tell. Nora Novak also received recognition in the Clover Kid Speech division.
Junior Speech participants included Cameron Kosch and Karsta Kersting, both of Platte County, and Maci Jo Jedlicka of Colfax County. All three participants were recognized with a blue ribbon.
In the Intermediate PSA division, Nate Moravec of Butler County was named champion, with Karis Kersting of Platte County earning reserve champion honors. Levi Moravec of Butler County was named champion in the Senior PSA division.

Sydney Kosch received a blue ribbon in Intermediate Impromptu, while Delaney Cheloha of Platte County earned a blue ribbon in Senior Impromptu.
The event highlighted the strong communication skills of 4-H youth across the three counties and their ability to effectively share meaningful messages with their communities.
