GRETNA — Columbus softball’s season came to a close Wednesday in the Class A-7 district tournament as the Discoverers were shutout twice by Gretna (10-0) and Lincoln Northeast (8-0).

Columbus softball bows out of A-7 district tournament
GRETNA - Columbus exited the A-7 district tournament on an 8-0 loss in six innings to Lincoln Northeast Wednesday at Gretna High School.
The Rockets broke the game open with a six-spot in the second inning.
